JUNGLE TOUR: Two persons are assigned to a two seater aquaray (like a wave runners) Approx. 10 boats are in each group led by a guide. You set off from the Aquaworld Marina (opp. Melia Cancun Hotel) across the expanse of the Nichupte Lagoon and through the mangroves out to the Caribbean Sea. Here there is a 45 minute stop at an ocean reef for some snorkeling amidst the colorful tropical fish, coral and sea plants. Return via the same route (total time 2.5 hours). Soft drinks and a snorkel equipment are included in the cost. Please note that in order not to damage the coral reef and marina life, you are not permitted to use any suntan lotions - we suggest you wear a t-shirt if you wish to avoid getting sunburnt.

Tour departures: 08:00 / 08:30 / 09:00 / 11:30 / 12:00 / 14:30 and 15:00.

SUBSEA EXPLORER: Maybe you would like to see the colorful marine world but would prefer not to get wet - then this is the choice for you. A boat leaves from the Aquaworld marina for a 30 minute ride through the lagoon and mangroves. Here you board a glass helmed boat that looks like a submarine but does not submerge completely and are taken on a 30 minute ride around the reef. When you return to the “island”, you may decide to stay and enjoy the sunshine and can then take any of the hourly boats back to the marina. Soft drinks and a light lunch is included in cost.

Tour departures: Hourly from 09.00 - 15.00

SNORKELING TOUR: Enjoy a leisurely ride on a boat across the lagoon and as the above two tours, you go through the mangroves out to the reef at Punta Nizuc. Here you can then go down the stops at the rear of the boat into the crystal waters and snorkel. Or you may just prefer to stay on the boat and enjoy a cold drink. Return via the same route to the marina. Tour time two and a half hours. Departs on a boat called Piscis from marina Aquaworld.

SCUBA DIVING: The clear waters of the Caribbean and the colorful tropical fish, attract divers from all over the world. In Cancun, we can take a resort course followed the same day by a dive in the Caribbean - a wonderful opportunity for first time divers to explore this fascinating underwater world. For certified divers, deeper one and two tank dives are offered (NOTE: One cannot fly for at least 12 hours after diving). Available Aquaworld.

ISLA MUJERES or the Island of Women, is so called because of the clay female figurines found there by the Spanish when they landed. Just 45 minutes away from Cancun across the sea from the Carrousel hotel, this tropical island offers a more Mexican atmosphere compared to Cancun and is just the right one-day getaway for a boat trip crossing the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean.

You have to make your own way to the Carrousel hotel which is located in the hotel zone on the downtown way (km 3). An animation team on board will make sure to keep you busy with dances, fun and Sailing with domestic Open Bar and Snorkel at “Farito” reef. They go firstly to “Playa Norte” for swimming, relaxing and a buffet lunch (Drinks not included during lunch time ) before you reboard the boat which takes you to downtown Isla Mujeres for an hour or so of shopping before returning to Cancun. This tour is available from “ Club Catamaranes ” (Snorkel Gear for Rent)

10am - 5pm

CHICHEN ITZA (See Pick-Up Times) Is the most famous Mayan archaeological site, situated 205 km to the west of Cancun in the center of the Yucatan Peninsula. In Maya its name means " well of the Itza family" which refers to the sacrificial well that can be seen here. This city was founded in 445 BC but did not really develop until 900 AD. In Chichen Itza the Mayans and Toltecs constructed many great buildings of which the most famous is the central pyramid, El Castillo. The people will be collected from their hotel at .... (depends on hotel).

It takes about two and a half hours to arrive at the site. There is then a guided visit lasting just over an hour after which you have some time at leisure to climb the central pyramid. Then you are taken to the restaurant of a local hotel for lunch before returning to Cancun at 4pm and arriving back at your hotel between 6.30 and 7pm.

This tour operates daily and is available from Mayaland/Gray Line.

TULUM/XEL-HA (See Pick-Up Times) Tulum - Just 1 hr 40 mins south of Cancun lies Tulum, an important Mayan archaeological site and the only one that sits right on the coast overlooking the turquoise Caribbean. It is an excellent site to see as it gives you an introduction to the Mayan civilization in a 90 minute visit. Then it´s back on the bus to go to

Xel-ha (pronounced shell-ha) is reputed to be the largest and most beautiful natural aquarium in the world. It is a protected inlet that is home of many varieties of colorful tropical fish. Here you can learn to snorkel and enjoy observing the fish at an arm´s length or simply sit in one of the beach chairs and soak up the sun! There are several outlets in the park where you have linger over a delicious lunch or simply have a quick snack.

TULUM/XEL-HA ALL INCLUSIVE
XCARET (pronounced ish-caret) - is an eco-archaeological park located on the coast an hour´s drive south of Cancun. The naturally rocky coastline forms a series of caves, inlets and lagoons. The area has been carefully landscaped to retain a natural habitat and offers a wide variety of activities for all ages and tastes. A lagoon and inlets for snorkeling; relaxing on the beach; stables; a botanical garden; aviary; monkey island and a very interesting aquarium. Xcaret is most famous for its underground river with crystal clear waters - you can swim through this river passing through impressive caverns - a unique experience. Another feature is an exhibition with scale models of the major sites in the Yucatan. Xcaret has so many attractions that it has something for everyone and is one of the most popular venues in this area.

XCARET AT NIGHT - As soon as the sun sets, the park is transformed with candles and flaming torches lighting the pathways. Visitors are taken along underground pathways and through a replica Mayan village, to a beautiful outdoor theatre with a river running behind it, where one enjoys a 90 minute spectacular including typical regional music and dances.

The excursion departs from the Xcaret Terminal which is located next door to the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach hotel, opposite Plaza Caracol shopping center in Cancun. There are three hourly morning departures commencing at 09:00 hrs, and you have to present your tour voucher 30 minute prior. The “special multicolored Xcaret coaches” go directly to the park, and is one hour drive. The coach departs at 16:30 and 20:30 hrs in winter months and 17:30 and 21:30 hrs in summer and stops off at the various hotels on the way back.
