CITY TOUR OF MONTEVIDEO
City tour to visit the Old City, the New City and the Open City.
The Old City, originally a small walled Citadel was the shelter for the first settlers. The tour goes from Plaza Independencia to Plaza Matriz (Square of the Main Church or Cathedral) officially known as Plaza Constitucion, Montevideo Cathedral, Cabildo, Plaza Zabala and Solis Theatre.
Then on to the New City to see: Presidential Palace, Palacio Salvo to reach the main avenue called 18 de Julio, Plaza del Entrevero and Legislative Palace (Congress).
The tour continues to the Open City: Prado district, Montevideo Hill, Government Building, Parque Battle, Football Stadium and Carrasco district. Return along the seaside promenade.

FULL DAY PUNTA DEL ESTE

Morning departure to Punta del Este, the top seaside resort in South America. On approaching the city along the coast the it is possible to discover charm hidden in this area of the Uruguayan coastline.
Tour of this charming city starting at Punta Ballena, bearing the shape of a whale jutting into the sea. There, at different levels down to the sea, lie white-painted houses after the best Mediterranean fashion. Among these is Casapueblo, the sculpture-house by Carlos Paez Vilaro. Then continue to Portezuelo, Las Grutas and Chriringo Beach to reach the quiet and mystery of the beaches in La
Mansa and the seaside resorts El Emir, La Olla and San Rafael, luxurious residential areas. On to Barra de Maldonado and its humped bridge, the Golf Club and Beverly Hills area.
