2006 - GOLF GROUP SOUTH AFRICA & IRELAND
Hi Martin,
Sorry for the delay in giving you feed-back, but things have been crazy since our return from your lovely land – wish I was still there!!!!!!!
Thank you – all your organization and recommendations were great. Everyone including the Irish really enjoyed themselves. Eduardo is a great guy and really looked after us – nothing was a problem for him to organize – I look forward to seeing him in SA next year. The golf was most enjoyable with everyone raving about Olivos and BA Golf club. Penguinos was good, but not in the same class as the other two. Just a pity that the courses charge tourists the the $ equivalent of Pesos for green fees – makes the golf quite expensive.
Restaurants/Hotel were good and we all returned more portly but very satisfied. We have already spoken about going again – but I think this may only happen again in abt 2 – 3 years time ( world cup rugby in France next year seems to be the next get- together.)
Thanks again for all your efforts – much appreciated.
Best rgds

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - PERU + ECUADOR + ARGENTINA
Hi Martin
You have had feedback from Justin Schaffer on the Ecuador and Peru side of the trip for the Dienst party that went visiting South America in July through your good offices. Jennifer and I were part of the five. It was a wonderful adventure, even better in hindsight and something that we are delighted that we did - all parts of it - including the Napo River So thank you very much for putting together a wonderful tour.
A few points from our side:
Yes we agree with Justin's summary of the Casa del Suizo arrangements. The venue was not what we were looking for, the transport arrangements were not suitable but we are delighted that we went to the Oriente. It added to our experience and we wouldn't have missed the opportunity. I have seen your response and that of Gray Line so fully understand the circumstances.
The staff in the Four Point Sheraton in Quito need special congratulations. We stayed there one night, then went off to the Oriente and came back three nights later. On our return the staff knew who we were and called us by our names before checking in - very impressive. They could not have been more kind, thoughtful and helpful. It was Jennifer's birthday the day we returned to Quito and they delivered a wonderful chocolate cake to our room to mark the occasion with their compliments.
Buenos Aires was a fascinating city that gave us an added dimension to the trip. I know we asked to go to the Senor Tango - very exciting dancing but too long, inedible food and, for non-Spanish speakers, too much in Spanish. This is definitely not a criticism but merely feedback. Carolina from Lihue (?) said that it would not have been their first choice but we chose it so that's our fault.
The tour guides were all excellent with a good command of spoken English and all thoroughly knowledgeable, interesting and interested.
So thank you once again for a fascinating trip

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - PERU + ECUADOR + ARGENTINA
Dear Martin
We would like to endorse Justin's comments to you. We did have a great trip
and appreciated the meeters and greeters at all places, all of whom were
helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Our guide for Macchu Piccu, and Cusco,
Javier Vera, was particularly good.
We were more than happy with most of the hotels, particularly the Macchu
Piccu Sanctuary Lodge, a stunning location and really 5 star. However we
did not like the hotel in Lima, which might be fine in summer with an open
air restaurant, not so in winter. Also our room was right over this spot
with a party going on until 2.30am, not good for sleep!
This is not a complaint, just comments which might help you with future
tours.
Your arrangements went like clockwork, with the exception of the Napo River
trip, so many thanks for all your work. We look forward to going to South
America again.
Regards

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - PERU
Hi Martin
Back home and caught up on sleep and re-establishment of the normal routine, we can report that we had a wonderful time in Peru ? not to mention BA. As we reflect on details we will give you more specific feedback, but in general the pace worked out well, your local agents all met our expectations and in some cases exceeded them, and we were impressed at the general integration of the Tourism Systems in Peru.
Thanks for your help

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - REPEAT BUSINESS
Dear Martin
Wishing you all a very peaceful Easter Festive Season.
We returned from Argentina last week and I am back at the office this morning ? suffering from jetlag like you cannot believe.
First of all ? on behalf of my Dad (Ben), my Mom (Anne), my Sister (Linda) and myself we would like to congratulate and to compliment you and each and every member of the Travel Agencies for a very well, streamlined and successfully, organized trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed every second of every day.
The only bad news were : my dad and my suitcases were totally destroyed and damaged upon our arrival at Beunos ? and we have put in a claim at Malaysian Airlines.
Otherwise, it was just magic ? and once again ? hats off to Marcelo who was at the Airport to welcome us so warmly back to Argentina.
We have all fell in love with this magical country all over again ? there are so many beautiful places, but I think La Angosturra tops it all!!! San Martin was also magical ? every place that we visited was so great.
Thank you so much Martin. Could you please be so kind as to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone for making our trip and stay so very special.
Warmest regards

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - ARGENTINA
Dear Martin
Well, after a fantastic holiday in Argentina we are back. We spent so
many hours planning this trip that I feel very sad that all is done and
dusted. I would like to thank you and your staff for making our trip so
unbelieveable. We had the time of our lifes !!!!!!
We want to thank you for recommending places to see and tours to include
in our package. The boat trip at the glaciers was absolutely
spectacular as we were there when the glacier collapced. How lucky can
you be ? The value and service on this tour was first class. I will
strongly recommend this to anybody. The minitrekking was worth every
sent that we spent and are very glad that we took the option. Your agent
in Buenos Aires was of a very high standard and specifically Karen who
delt with us was fantastic and would like you to please convey our
thankfullness to her. She is stunning.
All the hotels were wonderful especially Elevage as the location is
perfect. The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and friendly. The
hotel in Mendoza is fine but I think there are other options that you
can take for the same price. All in all, the three Whittles had a GREAT
holiday, one we will never forget and some of our dreams came true on
this trip. Thank you for all your hard work we did appreciate
everything. We would love to go back to South America and would
cetainly use your services.

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 GOLF GROUP - ARGENTINA
Martin
Thanks very much for the tour. Everything went off smoothly. Argentina was fantastic and Eduardo was brilliant, he really did go out of his way to make the trip enjoyable. As for buenos Aires, it is a party city, and particularly the people. Even if they don't speak English they try and help or talk to you and they always have a smile on their faces. In hinsight I think Punta was a bit quiet and maybe we would have been better served staying in Buenos Aires, but it was interesting anyway. As for the courses, Buenos Aires country club was a test and probably the best club, but having said that Olivos and Jockey were also thoroughly enjoyable. The course in Punta was also great, very picturesque.
All in all the boys enjoyed the trip although quite tired at the end and all are keen to go back....just got to get it past our wives again!!!
Thanks once again and tell Eduardo thanks also, he was a real star

SOUTH AMERICA 2005 - TRAVEL AGENT "STELLENBOCSH TRAVEL"
Hi Martin,
Many thanks for your e-mail. We had a wonderful time in B.A! The agency that you make use of was absolutely fantastic! Extremely professional & very helpful. Our guide, Maria was very good & made our stay in B.A. even more special.
The tours were very interesting - we esp. enjoyed the tour to one of the ranches. The tango show was incredible!
All in all Martin, it was very well organised. We never experienced any problems, except for our day trip to Colonia. The agency did not realise that there was a time difference in Uruguay, so we missed our fast ferry & landed up having to take the slower one, but this was not a huge problem at all. If anything it was very important for me to experience both ferries, so as to advise our clients accordingly.
I was very impressed with the Art Hotel. Lovely accomodation & in a good area. I was not very impressed with the Waldorf Hotel, but for a 2 star hotel, I suppose it is good value. The location, of course, was completely ideal!
I really enjoyed my stay & will definately return to Argentina, but to see more of the interior of the country.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful arrangements! Everything worked like clockwork!
Kindest regards

SOUTH AMERICA - 2005 - "HORSE TREK"
Dearest Lisa,
Back from our great trip to Argentina. It was a memorable experience and definitively to be repeated.
Thanks for organizing such a great trip!
Here the short summery of the adventure.
We arrived at 5-30 am in Esquina and welcomed by Fernando from la Rosita, driven to the Estancia and after a short sleep in a beautiful Spanish style surrounding we got served a luscious breakfast, at 9.30 am we where already on our horses. From this moment the real Holiday started, a great time with fantastic panoramic scenery and gorgeous Estancias, lots of wild and bird life.
The people, Fernando, his Mother, Brother, Juancho the Gaucho that followed us throughout the ride, are very friendly and caring, there was nothing that was of bother or too much for them to please us on our stay. The food was just the best, every day for lunch under the trees and in the evening for dinner a different selection of home made Corrientes specialities where served accompanied by delicious Argentinean red wine.
The accommodation in the different Estancias was very comfortable and clean, very important after a 6 to 7 hrs ride, the Estancias are very well maintained and rich of beautiful decorations.
The horses are well groomed and we had the choice of 10 different horses throughout the entire trip.
We left La Rosita with a great feeling and with the sincere intention to go back again.
From La Rosita we got fetched by a driver and after a 7 hrs drive through to the Ricon Del Socorro Estancia run by Valeria and Lesley. A very nice set-up, luxurious and rather new (open only 5 month). they took us by boat to the wet-lands, a real "Twitcher" (bird-watcher) paradise. Not really up Verena's and my liking but a definitive must for any conservation fundy. The people at the hotel are friendly but still to get grip on how to handle guests. Verena did not get very well with Lesley!?!
The return flight back from Posadas to Buenos Aires was fine (cattle class! ;-) ) we got fetched from the airport and brought to the Sofitel Hotel, a very nice 5 star Hotel with all the facilities and friendly staff ........ a good Bar to!!! Next day got fetched and brought to the airport for our final destination JHB.
All in all a great adventure! Many thanks and will be in touch for further travel arrangements,
Best wishes and warm regards,
Michel Zimmermann |

SOUTH AMERICA 2005 : PAX DIETHELM
Dear Martin
Thought I would just drop you a line with regard to Mr. Diethelm who has now returned from his South American sojourn.
As I told you at the outset of this reservation, these clients are very discerning. Well he has returned from what he has described as probably his most unforgettable holiday.
He has said that everything worked like clockwork and your attention to detail was outstanding. Even the problems encountered in Bolivia were handled most superbly by your agents who very quickly had an alternative worked out for them, this despite the fact that he only contacted her late in the evening - she told him she was on 24 hr call and truly was.
He was most impressed with the class and location of all hotels that you had booked them in and said that each afternoon when they returned from whatever had been arranged for them the next days itinerary, pick up time and a lot more information regarding the next day was already in their hotel room.
He had only one criticism and that was that the guide in Cuzcu - his name is Jesus was not up to the standard that they had become acustomed to.
I would like to thank you very much for all your hard work and can truly say that we have the greatest confidence in placing our clients in your very capable hands.
Once again many thanks and regards

Hello Martin,
I hope you had a wonderful time in Argentine. I spoke to Mr. and Mrs Dalmann over the phoneand they were very happy and totally satiesfied
with the arrangements we made for them in SA.
Their favourite places were
1. Rothman Manor in Swellendam
2. Andries Stockenström in Graff Reinet
They found the bungalows in the National Parks allright
They travelled 3.500 km according to my itinery. They felt save and would travel through SA on their own again, but they first have to save up.
They told me already in Cape Town, that the City Tour with Jaqueline was a Highlight and very informative. So, we have satisfied customer which makes me happy and gives me hopefully more clients in the future.
Thank You very much and love to Elke ULLA

Dear Martin,
I have just been told by Dana’s mother that they had an unforgettable trip – loved the hotels and it got better and better!
Hi Anthea/Sandra
I just got back to work today so I am finally back online. Firstly I wanted to thank you and Sandra for organising the most amazing trip. Everything worked out perfectly and we had a fantastic time. South America was superb. The transfers and guides were all very professional and really well organised.
Buenos Aires - wow what a place and what a hotel!!! The hotel was absolutely stunning. Great position and they treat you like royalty ( each floor has its own butler service which really impressed Craig) The tour guide we got was great. We ended up doing a city tour as well and we got them to organise us the Tango show - the Carlos Gardell show. All great. BA is so cheap and we did so much shopping it is ridiculous!!!! Definitely one of my favourite cities in the world
So ...thanks to you both for all your hard work. It really was an amazing experience and most memorable
Please give Claudie a big kiss and hug from us to say thanks and hope things are going ok there
Love
Dana and Craig!

SOUTH AMERICA 2004
Hi there Marin,
Just a short note on behalf of my cousin (B Way) and myself to thank you
for arranging a truely memorable trip to Argentina for us over December 04
and January 05.
Our accommodation in Bariloche (Hotel Concorde) and in Buenos Aires
(Etoile Hotel) was great . The rooms were spacious , clean and comfortable
and the staff was always friendly and helpful (although communication was
a little difficult at times due to our lack of knowledge of Spanish-but we
managed). There were never any problems with the flights and transfers that
you arranged and your representatives were always available if we
required any help or advice.
All of this made our holiday even more enjoyable.Bariloche ,which we visited
for the first time, was quite breath taking. And as for beautiful Buenos Aires!!!!!!!-
we are already planning another trip (our third).I will certainly be contacting you
later in the year-but this time the trip will be planned a lot further in advance.
Once again, thank you.All the best for you and your family for 2005-hope
it will be a good year for you.
Take care.
Kind regards.

Fadwa Abas
Led Tours & Travel
Dear Fadwa:
We are writing to thank you for your generous contribution to the Student Sponsorship Programme of South Africa. The Student Sponsorship Programme is a non profit organization providing scholarships for very poor students to attend school in South Africa. We assist our 225 high school students with 5 year scholarships, and a host of support services including mentoring, counseling, etc. We depend on the generosity of corporations, foundations, and individual donations to make this all possible. This is the first year we have added a very special fundraising tour to South Africa as a means of raising money for this important cause.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Led Tours for enabling us to host this very special trip. As a result of the fundraising trip, we raised sufficient funding to provide educational support services for four promising students! Your contribution to our efforts is rewarded with the knowledge that the money we raised will go directly towards the education of bright young people.
As this was the first trip of its kind, we learned a tremendous amount from the experience. We are confident that with early planning, broader dissemination of our brochure, and use of the tremendous positive feedback we received about the Winelands Tour and luncheon featuring Gary Player from our guests, we will be able to make an even greater impact with another fundraising trip next year. We feel that we were able to put together a unique itinerary that worked extremely well for our targeted donors and would be delighted to include a tour with Led again. We are truly grateful for the generous support provided by your company, allowing SSP to continue to help the children of South Africa.
As the Coordinator of the trip, I want to thank you so much for your generosity and support. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you again in the New Year.
All best,
Larissa Markarian

Ola Martin
Just a brief note of feedback on our time in Argentina.
Starting with our guide. Analea, what can we say but that she was a STAR. She was not only charming but went to extremes to serve us in all our difficult requests. She also arranged a beautiful boutique-style hotel in Mendoza at extremely reasonable rates.
The tour she booked for us into the Andes was a delight and many photos later we regretted having to return to the flatlands. We would certainly recommend that it makes part of any itinerary to Argentina, and then for at least 4 days.
The bodega tours are certainly to be recommended and especially nice was La Rural where the guide spoke an excellent English and proved to be very knowledgeable about the wine making process, the vines and the history.
A quick comment about the Aspen is that the breakfasts were not quite as varied as those of some of the other hotels. Other than that it was comfortable, and again of course the fact that the staff were charming and ever helpful.
The tango show certainly lived up to my expectations and more!! We were delighted by the quality of the dancing and Cisca ended up buying every cd of the artists on show.
Thank you for your advice beforehand as it was most helpful. The remises were helpful and cheap!! ($51 from airport to airport in BA.) I'd appreciate it if you'd forward Analea's email address to me to thank her too.
Yours sincerely
Johan and Cisca |

Hi Martin, I must tell you we had a great trip to Chile and Argentina.
Everything worked like clockwork. I will definitely go back one day
to see the other places we didnt get to. Thanks so much for putting
it all together.
Two observations to be mindful of....
1. I am a Vodacom Cell phone client. I had no cell phone coverage
anywhere in Brazil or Argentina.
2. The Kempinksi was not great - the original room I was given was
terrible. I upgraded myself to a suite to get comfortable.
Other than that all was excellent.

SKI ARGENTINA 2004
Dear Martin,
Our trip was excellent. Thank you for arranging all the transfers,
seats, hotels etc. Everything was perfect. We had a bit of bad luck
at the Aspen suites...first room had a flooding bathroom. We were
given a second room which was better. However, on our last night in
BA we chose to stay at the Sheraton Libertador which was alot nicer.
We did let the agent know.
The Kenton Palace was perfect. Clean, modern, friendly staff...we
loved it. The first room we were given had no central heating, so
they gave us another room which was really very tiny. We asked if
they could not do better and they gave us a room quite a bit larger
(Room 514 was great...not noisy and a few extra square meters which
do make a difference!) I have alot of good info to pass on.Will do
so in a mail as soon as I have a bit more time. Just wanted to thank
you for your immaculate organization. Argentina is fantastic. We will
be returning very soon.(In fact, at Easter, inshallah!) We discovered
Villa Angostura...we are dreaming of having a home there one day.
Absolutely heavenly.
With best regards

Hi Martin,
Just a quick hello to say thank you very much for a fantastic holiday.
We absolutely loved Bariloche (we are hopeless skiiers, but never mind...)
- the Nevada hotel was lovely and they upgraded us to a junior suite
(thanks to your request,I think..). Buenos Aires was very interesting,I
would love to go back one day in summer,I think it must be quite different.
I didn't starve after all as there was so much pasta to be had as
well as the delicious trout in Bariloche.
The tour operator in Argentina was really brilliant - we had a great
guide, she was very helpful and kind. Also the one in Bariloche was
really sweet and really went out of her way for us.
Thanks again,

DEAR MARTIN,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TELEPHONE MESSAGE. I HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM ABROAD
MYSELF. STEPHEN JIRAN ADVISES THAT THEY HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AND WERE
PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT THE COST OF THINGS IN THE ARGENTINE WAS
VERY SIMILAR TO SOUTH AFRICA. SNOW WAS NOT GOOD THERE AS THEY HAS
HAD A BAD SEASON. CHILE OF COURSE WAS ON A PAR WITH THE USA, COSTWISE,
AND MORE EXPENSIVE BUT THE SNOW WAS BETTER.
I BELIEVE THEY WILL GO AGAIN BUT POSSIBLY UPGRADE THE HOTEL IN THE
RESORT IN ARGENTINE.
FROM ME IT IS A BIG THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AFTER MY VIPS SO WELL. AS
USUAL YOU WILL BE THE FIRST I WILL PHONE WHEN THEY DECIDE TO GO THERE
AGAIN.

Re: Miga Travel clients - Peru Holiday August 2003
I would like to send you a quick note thanking you for all your help
with the above holiday. On clients return they reported having had
a wonderful time, well organised trip. Everything worked out splendidly.
They were overly impressed with the Orient Express Hotels and their

The jungle was an eye opener for my spoilt travellers, but they are

Even though things ran smoothly there, and the service was also great,
they do enjoy their comforts a little too much.
Thanks again for all your help, and I look forward to working with

In fact, she said your services were 'SUPERB".

Thanks for your kind message and the excellent tour you arranged for

was not necessary for you to worry - we had a lot of fun and adventure!
We
were also very impressed with the high standard of the tour agencies

helpful and friendly. The guides were also of a very good quality.
I understand that the deputy President, who is not aligned to any

be
stabilised there - at least in the short term.
Thanks again

trip to other people.

SOUTH AFRICA 2003
Dear Helen,
We had an absolutely superb time at Makweti and a marvelous few
days in Cape Town. Thank you for all your help in planning.
The Winelands tour was so beautiful and Alexandra, our guide &
driver was superb! We enjoyed the day and the time we spent with
her. Lunch at 'Bread and Wine' was glorious! Wonderful food and
ambience.
Not to worry, All is well that ends well and the transfer glitch
is but a mere bleep in the big picture.
Enjoy your holiday season and we wish you all the best in the New
Year!
With our very best personal regards,
Terry & Peter

Hi Martin
I got your voice message. Thanks for your concern, but as it turns
out, it was completely unnecessary. The trip was great - as you said
there was nothing to worry about. No sight of the strikers or the
earthquakes! At no point did we feel unsafe. Everything went according
to plan, Nuevo Mundo were extremely reliable, however, the airlines
in Peru were always late. The half day Corcovado tour wasn't great
either - it started late, and it literally lasted a couple of hours
with little involvement from the guide. But besides that, it was a
really great trip and we would definitely recommend it to everyone
- Sandra and I are already planning to go back to Rio as the one day
was just not enough.
Thanks very much - it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Hi Martin
Thanks for the phone call. Couldn't believe it, Mr Meyer had just
left our office as you called.
He had a super holiday/ Very impressed with the transfers that went
so smoothly as he is not a person that ever usually arranges transfers.
Hotes both great and the Burnos Aires was very central
Thanks for the help
As I mentioned , he gave me some German and Japanese tea as a present.
Maybe when I book him to Germany next he will bring me some Argentinian
jam!!!!

Shaun,
What a wonderful trip we had in South Africa. And it could not
have been possible without all your help and that of Liz Marie. You
did
a fantastic job in selecting accommodations that were as close to
perfect as we could have imagined. And your detailed planning of our
routes maximized the time we had and enabled us to enjoy as much of
your
magnificent country as we could. Every time we spent the night in
one
of the hotels you booked for us, we were convinced that it was the
best! Then the next night we would enter another hotel that would
become our newest favorite. And you did all this on very short notice!
Your recommendations on restaurants were also right on the mark. The
most difficult task of all had to have been finding accommodations
in
Port Elizabeth just at the time of a huge sports event--and you did
it
perfectly. We were seven minutes from the airport. Your thoughtfulness
and hard work made all the difference in our vacation, and we are
very
appreciative. We will highly recommend you and Led Tours to anyone
who
wants to be assured that all expectations will be met with the highest
professionalism and thoughtfulness to detail. Again, our warmest
thanks.

SINGLE WOMEN TRAVELLER!
Dear Martin
Thank you very very much for organising me the most fantastic trip
to South America. I am so sorry this has taken me so long to get around
to writing to you but the day after I arrived back I did go and see
Dianne to tell her how it went and how much I appreciated all the
time and effort that you put into making me trip so very special and
memorable.
The agents were fantastic in every place and were always there to
meet me, phoned every night to see how my tour had gone etc. They
really went out of their way.
Every tour that you booked me on worked out really well as well. All
the hotels were great. I did not have one delay on any flight (and
you know how many there were), the agents were fantastic at confirming
flights for me, exchanging money etc. I don't even know which place
I enjoyed more because each was so unique. Thank you so much for getting
me into the VIP lounge in Lima, when I saw the chaos in the waiting
lounge I really did appreicate you getting me into the VIP area.
I really thank you and your agents for everything. I know Dianne was
really happy to know how it had all gone.
Thank you very much. I hope you do India and Nepal (for 2 years time
- need to save!!)?
Thanks

Once again, Happy New Year and I hope it's a very prosperous one for
you. Thank you for all the arrangements made on our behalf for our
South African holiday. It was wonderful - we loved almost every minute
of it and didn't want to leave.
We're now back in reality - the weather's very cold, but at least
it's dry! Paul has already started making enquiries about flights
for end of the year (2003) but has been told it's too early and that
we should perhaps start looking again in February!!!
We're definitely interested in the Cape Grace and the Blue Train Garden
Route journey and will get back to you when we have more info, timings
etc.
Kind regards.

Dear Martin SOUTH AMERICA
- PERU (2002)
Further to my call to you on Friday, I am putting in writing our experiences
in Peru.
First of all, it was THE most wonderful holiday we have ever had.
Peru is a totally fascinating, mysterious, mystical and beautiful
country! Thank you so much for your part in making it such an unforgettable
holiday.
Thanks so much for all your hard work. When I'm better, maybe next
year even we want to go back and spend more time in the jungle.
We took spools and spools of photos- had them developed over the weekend-
nearly R2000 rands worth! So we can relive it all time and time again.
with kind regards

Dear Martin (2002) SOUTH
AMERICA
Sorry I am replying so late,
My clients Mr and Mrs Ferrreira, Mrs Dippenaar thoroughly enjoyed
their ski -ing holiday @ Valle Nevado.
They have ski-ed in Italy, U.S.A , Switzerland, France and Austria
and said it rates with the best.
Mr and Mrs Ferreira went on to travel through Bolivia and Peru, and
said it was very well organised, and that the hotels chosen for them
were of a very good standard.
When I have clients travelling to South America I will not hesitate
to use Led Tours.
Thanks for the good service

Hi Martin (2002) SOUTH
AMERICA
The small group has returned from Buenos Aires and despite the inconvenience
suffered with
Varig Airlines and disorganisation on the part of the festival organisers,
they were of the
opinion that it was worthwhile from a tango point of view. The hotel
was find and transfer
and sightseeing arrangements were good.
I have two clients (possible four) wishing to go to South America
next May/June.
The itinerary will be faxed to you.

Hi Martin, (2002) SOUTH
AMERICA
I eventually managed to speak to Nicholas Jiran. I was off on sick
leave due to a knee op and then Nicholas took leave last week.
According to Nicholas they all really had a great holiday. He was
full of praise. Said the local tour operator was extremely helpful
and professional, the hotels were of very good standard and location,
the food was excellent, skiing was excellent etc etc. The only problem
he had was with the room upgrade, but said that it was all sorted
out quickly and without any inconvenience.
Please thank the operator you used for their help and efficiency.
The Jiran's will definately consider another South American ski holiday,
I am sure, as they seemed to be really taken with the different experience
after having skiied in Europe almost every year since they were youngsters.
And, thank you Martin for all your hard work and efficiency. It really
is important to deal with an operator who provides good service, has
excellent product knowledge and is so professional.
Kind regards
Bev

Dear Martin (2002) AFRICA
I just wanted to send a short note to thank you for looking after
Mr & Mrs Follett during their recent visit to South Africa.
They had a superb holiday and you contributed to it enormously. Mrs
Follett was very pleased with Alec. The cancellation of the return
journey was simply due to a change of plans. I would hate you to think
there was a problem.
Sorry, it has taken me a while to send this note. It has been very
hectic here since they got back!
Kind regards and thanks again,

Dear Martin,
Thank you so much again for the great work that you did with handling
the Lauder reservation. Their travel agent told me yesterday that
in her many years of being in the travel business and after sending
many clients to Africa, she's never seen two people come back so smitten
and excited about their trip. They will definitely be coming back
and you'll be one of the first to know. Great job!!!
I do have a general question for you regarding restaurants, sightseeing
venues, businesses, . . . being open on Sundays. Are most places closed
on Sundays in the surrounding areas of Port Elizabeth, Plettenburg,
Knysna, Franschoek, and Paarl? I believe that they are open in Cape
Town, but would like to find out if they are generally opened or closed
in the other areas before we recommend an itinerary to a client.
Thanks so much for your assistance, Martin!
Hope that you have a great weekend!

Dear Martin, (2002)
AFRICA
Sorry I am just getting back to you. I have been extremely busy with
life and haven't been able to get to all my emails. We returned on
March 6th and it's been a whirlwind of catching up..... weddings,
funerals and children.
We had a fabulous time and loved Cape Town and, especially, Alette.
It was a perfect introduction to SA and hope to return. We did not
have enough time to see and do everything we wanted. But that's good;
now we have to come back.
The rest of our trip was spectacular as well, so we just had the most
perfect holiday all around.
Please send our most fondest regards to Alette and tell her I will
be in touch soon.
Thank you for your note.
Best regards,

AFRICA
Forgive the delay in my response, with the recent
Thanksgiving holidays I'm still playing catch up while
bracing for the Christmas holidays.
South Africa was lovely. Everywhere we stayed was
wonderful. My parents came away thrilled and I've
overheard them on numerous occasions telling their
friends it was the loveliest vacation they've ever
had. We were all more than pleased with the
accommodations and the hospitality of all our hosts.
Gorah was particularly spectacular. And at every
opportunity we passed on our high praise of LED Tours
to hoteliers and fellow guests.
Thank you so much for all your hard work and excellent
recommendations.
Sincerely,
